In Memorium

Mother's Day 2005

At the risk of appearing maudlin, I am posting this photo of my only
child, Gabriel Merlin Edelson Kosdan who died of complications/an infection,
3 years after undergoing a double lung transplant. Gabriel was born with
Cystic Fibrosis.

Gabriel was an amazing being, an artist and I am honored to have been his
mother.

Gabe, I love you where ever you are.

Knowing you as I do, Wendy - I am sure Gabe was very proud to be your son, too. Happy Mother's Day for all the good memories the two of you shared.

Oh Wendy, he is so beautiful. He looks like the children in your art.
Hugs to you.

i was gabe's college roommate. not a day goes by that i don't think of him. we lost contact and i only heard of his passing about a year ago. i have photos of gabe in my apartment that i look to for inspiration. i wish we had never lost contact. it's a regret that i always have. he was an amazing guy and he'll always live in my heart.

I worked with Gabriel at Blue Cross, he was like a little brother to me. I still think of him often. He was a great person, friend and talented artist

i grew up in vermont with gabe. i shared many experiences with him. i sat with him in the hospital on many occasions and, even through the pain, he was always there for me. i learned more from gabe than any other human being. i was schooled in the art of living fully and sheer enjoyment of the moment. i love gabriel and think about him daily...even though his passing was so long ago his memory still cackles and giggles in my head...hahahaha...an amazing person, he will always be missed by. i am honored to have known him and to have been his friend.
